Built around how Australia actually trades

Australian consumer law expects the displayed price to be the price — GST included, no surprises at the register. Codipy POS is set up that way when you choose Australia: 10% GST inside the marked price, your ABN on the tax invoice, and the GST shown on the receipt.

For an independent retailer or a small wholesaler, the rest is the point: stock across shop and storeroom, purchases with what you still owe, account customers with real ageing, double-entry books, staff and reports — one licence on hardware you own, rather than a monthly fee per terminal.

How shops in Australia get paid

Codipy POS records cash, cards, tap-and-go and bank transfer — each one against the bill that used it. Split a single bill across two methods when a customer is short, and close the day with each method totalled separately so the drawer, the terminal and your statement all agree.

Tax the way Australia does it

Codipy asks one question — your country — and fills in the rest. Pick Australia and this is what the setup wizard applies:

Currency
AUD — Australian dollar
GST
10%, included in the marked price
On the invoice
ABN

A rate is a starting value, not a lock. If the government moves it, you change it yourself in Settings → Currency & Tax the same day — you do not need a new version of the software. Individual products can carry their own rate, or be marked exempt.

Reaching customers by SMS and email

Invoices, payment reminders and offers go out on the channel your customers already answer. The credit-due list sends a reminder with the balance in one tap, so nobody retypes a number or copies a phone number by hand.

Whatever kind of shop you run in Australia

One installer configures itself for your trade — pharmacy, grocery, mobile and electronics, garments, hardware, restaurant, salon, bakery, workshop, distribution or general retail. Each one switches on the modules that trade like you do and leaves out the ones that would only get in the way.

POS software in Australia — questions

Does it show GST-inclusive prices?

Yes — that is the default for Australia, because consumer law expects the displayed price to be what the customer pays. The 10% is worked out of it and shown on the tax invoice.

Will my ABN print on invoices?

Yes, entered once during setup and shown on every tax invoice.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. The database and the register run on your own PC. Internet is only used for messaging, online backups and the phone app.

Can I run several registers?

Yes — one PC as the server and unlimited registers as clients, found on the network automatically.

Does it integrate with Xero or MYOB?

Not directly today. Codipy keeps its own double-entry books and exports everything to CSV, which is what most shops hand their accountant. Tell us if a direct link would decide it for you.
