Built around how Singapore actually trades

Singapore expects prices to be advertised GST-inclusive, and a shop that displays a pre-tax figure has a compliance problem before it has a customer. Codipy POS handles that the way the law expects: the marked price is what the customer pays, and the 9% is worked backwards out of it on the invoice.

For an SME running one shop or three, the appeal is the rest of it — stock, purchases, accounts, staff and reports in one system on your own hardware, rather than four subscriptions that each know a quarter of the business.

How shops in Singapore get paid

Codipy POS records cash, PayNow, NETS, cards and mobile wallets — each one against the bill that used it. Split a single bill across two methods when a customer is short, and close the day with each method totalled separately so the drawer, the terminal and your statement all agree.

Tax the way Singapore does it

Codipy asks one question — your country — and fills in the rest. Pick Singapore and this is what the setup wizard applies:

Currency
SGD — Singapore dollar
GST
9%, included in the marked price
On the invoice
GST Reg. No

A rate is a starting value, not a lock. If the government moves it, you change it yourself in Settings → Currency & Tax the same day — you do not need a new version of the software. Individual products can carry their own rate, or be marked exempt.

Reaching customers by WhatsApp

Invoices, payment reminders and offers go out on the channel your customers already answer. The credit-due list sends a reminder with the balance in one tap, so nobody retypes a number or copies a phone number by hand.

POS software in Singapore — questions

Does it show GST-inclusive prices?

Yes — that is the default for Singapore, because consumer law expects advertised prices to include GST. The customer pays the marked price and the 9% is calculated out of it on the invoice.

Can I record PayNow and NETS?

Yes. Each is a payment method, recorded per bill, so the day close separates them and reconciles against your statements.

Do I need a monthly subscription?

No. It is a one-time licence per shop, installed on your own hardware, with the data on your own disk.

Can I run more than one outlet?

Yes. Multiple godowns and stock transfers are supported, and each outlet runs its own server with its own counters.

Is the accounting real, or just sales reports?

Real double-entry. Sales, purchases, payments and expenses post balanced journals themselves, producing a trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet rather than a summary of the till.
