Malaysia runs SST rather than a single VAT, and it is charged on top of the price rather than baked into it. A rate is a starting value, not a lock. If the government moves it, you change it yourself in Settings → Currency & Tax the same day — you do not need a new version of the software. Individual products can carry their own rate, or be marked exempt.
Trade credit — the part every shop gets wrong
Most shops in Malaysia keep trade credit in a register, and the register is always a week behind the shop. Busnipy POS keeps it against the customer instead: every credit sale posts to their balance as it is billed, part-payments come off it, and the list is correct at closing time without anybody adding a column of figures.
The recovery screen sorts by how long money has been owed rather than by how much, because the oldest debt is the one that turns into a loss. Reminders go out over WhatsApp with the balance already in the message, and every one of them is recorded against the customer — so the next person to ask knows what was already asked.

Does it handle SST?
Yes. Choose Malaysia during setup and tax is added at the till at 8%, with your SST registration number on the invoice. Other rates are available per product, and you can change the rate yourself the day it moves.
Can I record DuitNow and e-wallet payments?
Yes — each is a payment method recorded per bill, so the day close keeps wallet money apart from cash.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. The database and the billing screen are on your own PC; internet is only used for messaging, backups and the phone app.
Can I run a shop and a warehouse?
Yes. Multiple godowns are supported, with transfers between them recorded rather than assumed.
Is it a subscription?
That is your choice — renew yearly, or pay once and keep it. Either way it is licensed per shop, on your own hardware, with your data on your own disk.
